SonDeBaril launches with new show “Evolución” on September 16 & 17, 2022
We are thrilled to invite you to the launch of SonDeBaril with our new show, “Evolución”!
SonDeBaril arose out of the elements that drew us together: the rhythms, sound, and movement of the age-old yet constantly evolving art form of flamenco. It is the space in which music and dance are merged, creating an opening where a multitude of raw emotions are invited and allowed.
During this pivotal time, we found ourselves exploring new realities that inspired fresh ideas. We’re so excited to bring our vision to life and share it with you!
We created “Evolución” in collaboration with guitarist Ricardo Marlow, dancers Edwin Aparicio and Anna Menendez, who will also be performing with us.
A huge thank you to the Maryland State Arts Council for making “Evolución” possible and to the Institute of Musical Traditions for supporting us!
“Evolución” will premiere at Roda Studio in Takoma Park, Maryland on September 16 & 17, 2022. There will be an artist-audience reception after the performance.
We hope you will join us on this beautiful journey.
“Evolución” came out of our depths. It is about continuance, a tribute to our ancestors, and living THIS MOMENT.
